CourtCall is a third-party remote appearance service being used to make telephone and video appearances at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
To participate in a CourtCall appearance by video, the party needs a computer with sufficient bandwidth, a webcam to view the proceedings, and a fixed telephone line is recommended for higher audio quality.
To arrange a CourtCall appearance, the following steps must be undertaken:
A confirmation from CourtCall will be emailed or faxed to you upon the filing and payment outlined above.
CourtCall appearances are scheduled during the Court’s ordinary sitting times.
Unless notified to the contrary, all parties who have filed a CourtCall Request to Appear by Telephone on a timely basis and have paid the required fee to CourtCall may appear by dialing the toll-free teleconference number provided by CourtCall.
All parties who have filed a CourtCall Request to Appear by Video on a timely basis and have paid the required fee may appear by video by logging in using the link that will be provided and dialing the toll-free teleconference number in the Confirmation sent to you by CourtCall.
A pre-hearing check-in will occur fifteen minutes before the scheduled hearing time.
